The traditional priority for new food industry processes has been production costs. Now this is being challenged by regulatory requirements for validation of production systems. New guidelines from the FDA are beginning to impact production systems making foods for infant consumption. Foods with nutritional or dietary claims are coming under regulatory scrutiny as well. Production facilities must comply with Good Manufacturing Process (GMPs). Automation of process and packaging operations are now subject to the validation process previously required of pharmaceutical producers.
CQS Innovation has provided many automated control systems that have been validated. We have validated legacy systems that have been in operation for years. We are aware of the cost conscious nature of food producers and experienced with validation of automated systems. We bring the practical perspective to both issues.
